DIY Coasters

The DIYs are coming back and today it's gonna be DIY coasters. I have been making these for a long time and I thought it was time I showed you how to make them.

For this first one, you're gonna start by taking an old CD or DVD and blobing the paint on. This gives it texture and it's way faster because you don't have to do as many coats.

And that's it! 

You could also do this with multiple colors.


For the next one, start by putting ant decorative tape on and if there's a pattern on it make sure to line it up.

Once you've covered the whole thing trim the sides and that's all! I LOVE this one! If you found a tape that really matched your room it would look adorable.

Start by drawing a pattern on your coaster or you could print a picture and outline that onto your coaster. 

And then paint it.

This is the same technique I did of the Justice League sign and I love it for coasters.

30-Day Writing Challenge Day 9: What You Ate That Day

 I know I skipped a day, day 8 will be coming out soon I'm not as good at writing stories is all. =D Today is Sunday. I don't normally eat in the morning so I didn't think about food when we went shopping. As we were shopping Hannah mentioned that she hadn't eaten that day. Looking at the clock I realized that it was 2:30. I was very surprised that I didn't feel hungry. We shopped for another hour or so and then went home and ate zesty bean burritos for lunch\dinner.  The rest of the day we just chilled. Daddy and Momma went shopping again and so we watched the Flash and I had a bowl of frozen corn and a chocolate shake.  In the evening we really didn't have a dinner plan. It was more free for all. I think I had a blue barry donut and a few cups of Snapple.

My Shoe Collection

Honestly, I don't really like wearing shoes especially in the summer but I thought it would be fun to show you my shoes. BTW these are all my shoes except for my snow boots and outside flip flops. First, these flats from Fred Meyer. I got these years ago and they're great for summer! Then, there are my red flip flops I got at Goodwill.  I think every one needs a pair of tennis shoes, I got these from my Aunt and I don't know where she got them. Even though I don't wear gray that much I really like these for when I'm working out or just when I'm wearing a sporty outfit. And the summer essential, sandals. I really like these ones from Walmart. They're simple but very cute and great for basically every summer outfit. The rule for me is I need three pairs of boots for the winter.
