How to Tackle It All

Image
Pretty much all my life I've always had too much time but in the past couple years a lot has changed. My sister got married, we moved, and I just really wanted to help out more. For the first little bit I just did some chores and then I started making some dinners. But then I just got super busy (I not even sure why =P)!  I start my day at 7:30 get ready and read my Bible and around 8:00-8:30 I start my school (math, English, science, history, penmanship, geography, and spelling) since the new school year I've been doing more school and it takes me a lot longer than it used to! A few months ago it took me about two hours to finish all my school but now it takes about four to four and a half hours! I normally finish around 12:00 to 12:30 and go to some chores (dishes, laundry, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, etc). They normally take no longer than an hour to complete and then I eat lunch. Once that's done I get on the computer and work on whatever is the present task, m...

September Fashion Challenge Week 1

Image
Week #1 down! Here are all my outfits and hairstyles! For the first three days I was camping and couldn't get pictures so I took them later, and the outfits may have changed a bit. =) Day 1: A day without a color you always wear. If you looked in my closet you'd see blue, coral and red. I wear those all the time and so I really don't have any other colors. However, I did find this Huskies shirt which is perfect! I just wore it with a jean skirt and... ...white flip-flops And for my hair, I just have double french rope braids. I have this hairstyle for the next two outfits since I took them all in one day. Day 2: Workout Worthy. I started with my Patriots shirt and added a pink jacket on top. And I'm wearing a basic jean skirt... ...with tennis shoes. You could also take the jacket and wear it around your waist. Day 3: Nature ...

5 Ways to Wear a Military Vest

Image
Hello everyone! Today I'm showing Y'all how to wear a cute military vest! For the first outfit, I started with a basic grey sweater and added the vest with a plaid scarf on top. Then I went with a plane jean skirt and black ankle boots. I'm wearing a french pull through braid into a messy bun. This one is all kinds of cozy and cute! It's great even through winter! Next, I wore a white lace shirt and added the vest on top. Then my jean skirt and white flip-flops. This one's great for the last little bit of summer!  I went with this coral sweater, that I tied, and, of course, the vest. And my jean skirt with my super cute taupe ankle boots. First, I started with a graphic tee and tied a button up around my waist and added the vest. Then I wore my jean skirt and white flip-flops. Last but not least, I wore this striped tee and added the vest. Then, of course, I wore a jean skirt and taupe ankle boots. I had a little fun here, ...

30-Day Writing Challenge Day 8: A Fictional Story About Someone You Know

The Sliver Most of this was pulled from my own childhood memories but some are original. =D   "Hey Momma, look at this really neat piece of wood I found!" Hope said proudly holding up a slivery piece of wood.    "Wow, Hopie!" Momma said, "Just don't get a sliver."    "Okay," Hope said. "Ouch!" Hope said dropping the wood. Holding her finger she saw that a small sliver in her finger. "I don't think Momma saw," she thought "I don't want her to get out the tweezers!"    Oh, the tweezers! The worst tool ever, made to only give pain to small children when they get slivers. Well, at least that's what she thought they were for.    "I'll just not tell her. I'm sure the sliver will go away without having to dig it out." So Hope went on with her day forgetting all about the sliver.    The next morning Hope woke up and her finger didn't feel well at all. "Well, maybe if I ge...

August 2018 Weekly Writing Challenge: Write the first chapter to a novel you have no intention of ever finishing.

Check out my sis's blog for her chapter! The Bolt    Detective Dave Burgman slowly pulled out his revolver and cautiously walked toward the warehouse. Arron Oscar, his partner, walked behind him, pistol in hand. Slowly he opened the door, once he had checked to see if it was safe he waved his hand toward Arron. Arron was soon at his side.    "You'll go to the next floor, I'll search down here," Dave told Arron. Arron nodded and walked toward the stairs. Dave looked around the large room, it was empty except for a few old crates.    A shot rang out from the next floor. "Arron!" Dave yelled, running toward the stairs. He ran up the stairs gun in hand. Carefully he walked into one of the rooms. A man stepped out. "Where is my partner?" Dave demanded.    "Oh, that scrawny kid?" the man mocked, "He's taking a little nap. But with him out of the way let me introduce myself, my name is Rex Alberts."    "What have ...

August 2018 Weekly Writing Challenge Week 3: Pick an object next to you, and write down what it is – let your stream of consciousness tell the rest of the story

Check out my sis's blog for her story! Carrot  Once upon a time, there was a beautiful garden with lovely plants. There lived a small family of carrots in a small wooden box. There a young innocent carrot was planted. Soon, his little green hair pushed through the earth and popped out for everyone to see him. His name was Felix.  He was quite happy with his life, he had friends all around him who often talked of their owners, the Crisses. Felix often wondered what they were like and what they did. He didn't see them that often other than tending to the garden and playing volleyball in the yard. He often wondered why he was in this garden. He did love his family and friends, but why did the Crisses have him there?  Months passed and the summer heat poured down. Felix all the other plants grew up and are going to be picked soon.  One day Lydia (one of the Criss girls) came out to the garden. This was normal, every day she would pull out any weeds and g...
