The Christian Heritage Conference

Image
(a pic of our team) The Christian Heritage Conference is my favorite event of the year! It's so fun to see friends and listen to my favorite speakers. But my favorite part is volunteering! Four years ago our family was given the responsibility to run the CD booth. And ever since then I've been working there! The fun thing is I get to see people who have worked there in years past and I get to meet new people that come to work at our booth.  This year I tried sales for the first time! It was fun but on Saturday I kinda stopped and went back to labeling. Ken Ham was the main speaker this year and it's always fun listening to him! As usual, I didn't get too many sessions but I still got to hear Family Night and the message there and a couple keynotes on the screen. All in all, it was a super fun time spent with friend and family and I'm serious when I say I can't wait till next year!

5 Super Cute Summer Outfits

Image
I know summer isn't here yet, but I'm so excited to get out all my summer clothes! Most of these outfits I tried to wear my summer skirts and most of them I didn't wear shoes. I really don't like wearing shoes and I don't have that many summer shoes. For the first outfit, I have a blue tee I got at Walmart and a camisole I also got at Walmart. And of course, I'm wearing my favorite skirt from Goodwill. And all these outfits I'm wearing half-up space buns. And for my jewelry, I have the necklace I got from Fred Meyer. And these adorable flip flops from Goodwill. For the next outfit, I have my blue polka dot button up from Goodwill and this fun coral skirt from the one and only, Goodwill. And I bet you can guess where I got these! Goodwill! When I first put on this outfit I really felt like I was going to the beach! This skirt I got from Goodwill is so breezy and fun! And the shirt is just Walmart tee. Okay, I will adm

A Normal Afternoon

Image
Normally I finish school before lunch time so today I decided to make a chocolate shake. This is a family favorite and it's great for those warmer days! My brother Mattew And my shake. This time it didn't really turn out. We were all out of milk so I had to use almond milk and we didn't even have very much of that so it was all coffee! Not terrible but VERY strong! Once I am done with all my school and chores I will often just bug Mattew. =P

Some Changes

Hello! Today I have a special announcement! I am now going to take my two blogs and bring them together! I'm really excited! I will be posting three times a week, probably Monday will be something more about my life then, on Wednesday and Friday I'll post what I normally do on here.  You might have noticed that I changed the name. Originally I wanted this blog to be all about crafting but it changed to more fashion. I love making outfits and doing hair so I think that is the way I want my blog to go. I still every once in a while will post a DIY but the blog will definitely be more about fashion.  I hope that this blog will not only be fun and exciting but that you'll get to know me through my writing!  Hope you enjoy the changes to come! Don't forget to come back tomorrow!  Lydia

5 DIY School Tablets

Image
I love doing DIYs and I love doing school so this is a perfect mix! I already love doing my school so cute tablets only makes it that much more fun! Hope you enjoy them as much as I do! For the first one, you're going to need your tablet, a coloring book (or you could just print one off google), a glue stick, a pen, and scissors. All you need to do for this one is cut the picture to size and glue on. That is it! This is ridiculously easy but so adorable! It's also great if you get bored while doing school you could color it. For this next adorable tablet, you'll need your tablet, scrapbook paper, labels of your choice, a pen, scissors, and a glue stick. First, cut the scrapbook paper down to size and glue it to the tablet. Then you glue the labels on. These labels were from some scrapbook paper but you could really use any label or you could use some old cards. I love this because it has that classic scrapbook style.  Getting a little fa

My Outfits of the Week

Image
I thought it would be fun if I shared my outfits of the week. I only have Monday through Saturday, I forgot to take one on Sunday. For my first out fit I have this really cute shirt I got from Goodwill. I had to get a picture of the back. Sorry if you can't see it very well, but it's has elephants on it! So cute!! The skirt is also from goodwill and is my all time, favorite skirt! The my amazing taupe boots from the one and only Goodwill. These were there brand new for $9! It was a great find! Then my hair I just made a side part and pined back the side with less hair. Today is yet another Goodwill outfit. This shirt I found at good will and is amazing when those warmer days come! The leggings are from Walmart and I really like them! And the skirt is the same one from yesterday. And of course I had to add my favorite piece of jewelry! This arrow necklace at Walmart. And my hair I just did a dutch braid and when I got to the end I pu
