30-Day Writing Challenge Day 9: What You Ate That Day

I know I skipped a day, day 8 will be coming out soon I'm not as good at writing stories is all. =D Today is Sunday. I don't normally eat in the morning so I didn't think about food when we went shopping. As we were shopping Hannah mentioned that she hadn't eaten that day. Looking at the clock I realized that it was 2:30. I was very surprised that I didn't feel hungry. We shopped for another hour or so and then went home and ate zesty bean burritos for lunch\dinner.  The rest of the day we just chilled. Daddy and Momma went shopping again and so we watched the Flash and I had a bowl of frozen corn and a chocolate shake.  In the evening we really didn't have a dinner plan. It was more free for all. I think I had a blue barry donut and a few cups of Snapple.

What Happened to the Writing Challenge?

Hello! You might have noticed that I haven't done the writing challenge the past week. Well, I'm stuck on A Fictional Story About a Person You Know. I started writing it with some great ideas but then my brain decided to take a break and now I can't think of anything to write! I'm not stopping just taking a break so I can come back and think! Maybe I'll start writing the other days and come back to this one.  But anyway, that's what happened to the writing challenge. I'm going to finish this I just hit a wall and I have to find a way to climb it. =)

Tips for Schooling Through the Summer

Image
Being homeschooled I normally would do school through the summer. It might have been because I didn't do it faithfully in the school year or just cause I love schooling. Either way, I normally end up doing some school in the summer, which can be hard to schedule since the summer is kinda a crazy time. So here are some ideas I have that help me be on top of doing school through the summer whether you're doing a reading project or working on some worksheets! 1.  Schedule, Schedule, Schedule! I really can't stress enough how amazing it is to schedule your school out! I do it year round and it works! Start by writing out what you're going to do in a day. Everyone's personality is different so don't feel like you have to read ten chapters a day, just do what you know you can handle. Then schedule out your week writing out what you need to do each day. I've done so many scheduling plans and this one is the easiest to keep on top of cause it's so simple!

30-Day Writing Challenge Day 7: A Book You Love

Image
My sister (Susanna) read this series to me when I was like nine and recently I decided to read them again and I still love them! I just finished the last book (which was one of my favorites!) and it's definitely a book I love!  After meeting a long lost uncle who spent most of his years seeking adventure in America and Canada, Tom Sanders and his two friends (Carl and Bert) are challenged to make the distant journey to their uncle's castle.  Only a few hours into their trip they have trouble. When they're food vanishes and Scout (Tom's dog) doesn't wake them up. After seeing a stranger in a market square Tom notices that Scout is completely okay with this stranger, in fact, he likes him, which is very uncommon with Scout.  But the mystery man isn't the only one who causes trouble for these lads. An arsonist has been burning forests and buildings and the boys are being blamed for it!  Can they make it to the castle or will they be caught up in somethi

30-Day Writing Challenge Day 6: Someone Who Inspires You

Image
As all of you know I love doing hair. I've always kinda liked doing hair but was never really good at it.  About ten months ago I saw a youtube video about ways to pin a bun and it was awesome! I tried the techniques and they totally worked! Then I started following the girl. Kayley Melissa. She is super fun and bubbly and is amazing with hair. Almost all the hairstyles I've done on this blog I've either gotten from her or used the techniques she uses.  Kaley is such an inspiration to me and a very talented hairstylist! I love her work, her personality, and her amazing youtube channel!

DIY Graphic Tee!

Image
Hello everyone! Today I'm coming at you with a DIY.  I love this Flash shirt it's pretty easy and takes zero talent! You're going to start with a plain tee shirt. Since I'm doing The Flash I'm using this red one I got from Walmart. =) Then print off your logo (or picture) and cut it out. Then trace it on the shirt. I have used different things to trace with and the best would be a washable marker. It comes off as soon as you wash it and you won't have ugly lines! BTW you only see the outer edge here, later I cute out the lightning bolt and traced that as well. And you don't have to do a logo. You could do words or even a scene. Just make sure it's not to complex. Then paint in the logo. And let it dry. I did three coats and it was perfect but you might want to do more if you had a darker shirt and lighter colors.  And that's it! It's SO adorable and great to update any of those "okay" tees! Hope y

30-Day Writing Challenge Day 5: What's In Your Bag?

Image
First I'll just show you my super cute purse! I got it from my sis and she got it from Fred Meyer. It just has one big pocket and there are some smaller pockets inside. But let's talk about what actually in my bag. I've got some sunglasses and their case, my wallet, two very essential pads, two packages of tissue, a mirror, and three full bottles of hand sanitizer. I don't think I need that many! I will say I do tend to clean out my purse, just lately I haven't been using it so I don't clean it!

30-Day Writing Challenge Day 4: The Weather

Image
I woke to being kinda cold. Slowly opening my eyes slowly realizing that I was on the ground. Finally remembering that last night my bed was much to warm so I slept on the ground. Not realizing that my VERY thin blanket was not going to keep me warm.  As the morning dragged on it was still a little chilly for me. After a while, I decided to read outside in the sun. After being out there I came in and it was much warmer inside. Closing all the windows I checked to see what the temperature was. I was very surprised that is was already 88*. After doing some dishes and laundry I was really feeling the heat and cranked up the fans and sat down trying to cool down.  As the day crawls along the heat sucks out my energy so writing a blog post (while listening to music) really helps!

30-Day Writing Challenge Day 3: Your Day in Great Detail

I woke to Hannah getting ready. It was around 9:45 (don't judge!). I stayed in bed for a while helping Hannah pick out her outfit for church. After a while, I got up and did my hair and got dressed. Finally, when a bathroom was open I brushed my teeth and washed my face. After doing my makeup I was ready and we were off to church.  Once we got home Hannah and I went to pick out outfits for this week while waiting for lunch (the first meal of the day) to cook. Afer about fifteen minutes Rebekah called us all to lunch. Our amazing lunch was rice with ground beef in it, Brussel sprouts, and some potato salad.  Once lunch was over Hannah, Matthew, and I went back into our room and hung out. I finished a DIY tee shirt I'd been working on the day before. Matthew really liked it and asked for one also, so I made him an Arrow shirt (which isn't done quite yet).  Then I got on the computer and watched some Kayley Melissa (my all time favorite Youtuber). After that, we ate ice cr

30-Day Writing Challenge Day 2: Describe a Color

Image
When I look at this color I immediately this of a blazing fire or a beautiful sunset.  When I think of the fire I hear it's crackling and it's amazing energy! I see this color and I think of its beauty and I also see the power of just a simple color.  I see a sunset after an overcast day. I see it's amazing beauty after a dark and gloomy day.  You don't often think of the power of just a simple color, but when you really think about it colors have such a big impact on how we live, our mood, and our creativity. God made colors so we could have excitement and differences on this Earth. So next time you see a color really stop and think what all just one color can do.

Healthy Snack Ideas

Image
If you were given the option of donuts or an apple which would you choose? I know I would love to eat donuts every day but that going to end up damaging your body. So, today we're going to go through some healthy snack ideas! 1.  Banana with Fruit Ice Cream . This has been a family favorite for years! Just throw a banana into your food processor and add some frozen berries or any frozen fruit you have. Then blend. You might need to add a little water if it gets stuck. Then when it's smooth take it out a serve! I LOVE this! I make it all the time and it's surprisingly filling. If you wanted more protein you could add nuts or protein powder.  2. Apples or Cellary with Peanut Butter.  It's so simple but amazing! It's a great grab and go snack and I know some people who will just keep premade cellary and peanut butter in their fridge, so that's a great way to go! 3. Baked Oatmeal . I'll admit, I don't really like baked oatmeal but my sister lo

Tips for Working Out

Hey guys!  So, recently I've been trying to work out more. So here are some tips that might help you too! 1. Find a workout you like. This one's very important cause if you don't like it it's most likely you won't do it. I tried my sister's palates workout and it was just too slow for me! So, now I'm doing a more upbeat workout. So you see that even though someone else likes it you don't have to do it. My favorite thing to do for working out is the workout called Prayfit. This is a burst training exercise that goes through strength, cardio, abs, and flexibility, basically, everything you want in a workout. Another favorite is the What's Up Moms workout. It's also burst training and it also covers strength, cardio, abs, and flexibility. One of my favorite workouts! And one other thing I've been doing the last couple days is running up and down our hill. It sounds really silly and simple but this one's my favorite because I can do
